Ughhh my cat has tape worms. He loves to lay on my lap all the time. I never had a grossness feeling toward tape worms until I saw them on him while he was on my bed.

I haven't seen fleas in a little while, but I guess that one advantage tube split between two cats wasn't as effective as I'd hoped.

What sucks is that this cat used to be feral, so he goes crazy in a carrier, with anyone new, in new places, etc. But my vet just said that if they need to, they can sedate him through the carrier as long as I get him there.

Ughhh how do you keep a crazy, persistently loves-to-be-loved cat off your bed when he's done nothing wrong?

My cat, 5, had a tapeworm a few months back. We discovered this while driving up to GA. While in the car, about 15 miles from my parent's house, he went to the bathroom in the litter box. It was all runny, and Jenn looked back and saw the worm hanging out of his behind.

So I pull the car over, get the cat up on the armrest, and proceed to start to pull the tapeworm out with some tissues. The bastard snapped in half, and wriggled back up inside of him. I threw the tissues out on the side of the road.

It was scary. I love my cat, but at that moment I was completely disgusted with him. It was like I didn't want to touch him, I felt so wrong for it.

The next week, I took him to the vet. They gave him 2 pills and a flea treatment. He's been doing great since then!

I would get him dewormed ASAP rather than try and keep him off the bed. The deworming pills aren't expensive. Both pills were like, $15.

Thought I'd let you know that I almost told this story over dinner two nights ago. I started to tell it (it proved my point about something about tapeworms), but saw the sheer dread in my roommate's face over the thought of what was about to happen, so I stopped and said "nevermind, this isn't appropriate actually." Lol

Then my other roommate was like "I don't care, tell me! What happened?" but the other was like "ehhh." I didn't end up telling it because I didn't feel like seeing someone vomiting, ya know? Lol or especially having it hapen because of me! Man, I'd be so upset.

Lol, my roommate didn't believe that what I saw on Mango were tapeworms, because I saw them on his rear end. He thought they were only internal. I explained that yes, they are internal, but that they come out on occasion, often during sleep, that they're intestinal, and must travel through the line (to speak figuratively). And he was still skeptical so I was going to go into your story. If necessary I was going to go as far as pulling your comment up, lol.
